Frestag is the CAM suitable for the 3-axes working centres and more in general for the metal industry.
Focusing on the user-friendly aspect, it does not need particular IT skills and can be used by all the operators indistinctly. The user interface (UI) acts as a wizard, leads the user during the machining steps and reduces the probability to make errors during the programming phase.
Drawing & designing
Starting with the Logotag 2D entities and depending on the piece to reproduce, the users select the entities from the X-Y plane of the drawing (TAG, DWG, DXF) to import into Frestag.
The Frestag graphic engine allows to visualize the machining paths
Users can program different machinings for:
- 3-axes profiles and sections contouring
- quarry with a bit router and parallel or concentric passes
- plan-and-section or plan-and-2-sections finishing
- concave / convex machinings
- helicoidal drilling
- combined cycles
The working cycles are computed taking into account the part to make and independently from the CNC machine so that the software can be easily interfaced to multiple stoneworking centres.
The post-processor translates all the machinings into the proper CNC language to evaluate the CNC machine capabilities (e.g. automatic tool changer, rotating table, and aggregate head).
The tool database contains bit router (flat, bullnose, ballnose, conical), and shaped tools.
