What is your company’s business?
Cutlite Penta designs, manufactures and sells the most advanced systems for cutting plastic, metal and die-cutting materials for papermaking, becoming the largest Italian company in the sector of laser cutting and engraving machines.
Seriousness and competence have enabled Cutlite Penta to achieve a leading position on the world scene: China, the United States and Brazil are some of the countries that host production, sales and technical service facilities. Since 2013 he has been collaborating with Ot-Las, a prestigious Italian brand in the development of CO2 laser galvanometric systems for the engraving and decoration of many materials, acquiring know-how gained from years of experience.
Thanks to its belonging to the EI.En. group, Cutlite Penta takes part in the application development of CO2 laser sources, which are an integral part of the design of its systems.
What are the reasons for which your company has choosen TAGLIO software?
Our machines are in continuous development in terms of performance and in terms of the possibility of new machining, so CAM software also needs to evolve in order to make the new possibilities developed easily available.
This evolution must be carried out with a software house that follows us step by step in a timely and collaborative manner.
In this, Taglio has always proved to be a reliable partner, able to provide us with added value with ad hoc customization of their products, this is very important for a company like Cutlite Penta that continuously invests resources in the development of their systems.
In this specific case, our developments in terms of NC and laser system and the extremely high dynamics of our linear motor machines, have made possible to achieve high-speed raster processes, thus opening up to the world of engraving and photographic reproduction, the creation of basreliefs, the production of luminous panels for back light or micro-perforated absorbent sound panels, opening up new possibilities of use in the field of lighting engineering, papermaking, furniture and textiles.
As a result, we were looking for a light CAM software that would combine the traditional functions of vector design and cutting with the ability to manage images and raster engraving processes, which is not common in the world of cad / cam for machine tools.
What CAD / CAM solutions were used previously?
Our laser systems cover a wide range of applications, from plastics processing to metal cutting, and overì time post processors have been developed for a wide variety of cam software such as but not limited to SmartCad, CutExpert, Alma, Lantek, etc...
What are the results achieved with TAGLIO software?
With Taglio we have been able to offer a cad / cam software that, in addition to sophisticated drawing functions, optimization and cleaning of the cutting paths, allows in the same environment the import and integration of the images necessary for the raster processing and the management of the register cutting by means of a camera, simplifying the work for our customers.
