Founded in 1982, Taglio has always pursued its mission of introducing innovative technologies in all the industrial fields in which materials need to be cut, modelled and sculpted with the highest precision, efficiency and quality. With the increasingly extensive use of numerically controlled machine tools, which began in the metallurgical and mechanical industries and subsequently spread throughout just about every industrial sector, we have been able to create and develop suitable tools for exploiting the potential of these new technologies to the full.

Development has always focused mainly on the mechanical and metallurgical industries, in the fields of mould, prototype and pattern making, and in cutting technologies ranging from laser and oxyacetylene right through to water and abrasive jet cutting.

The manufacturers of automatic NC machinery have been able to depend on Taglio’s ability as a software house to develop programs specially designed to handle each new machine and its features.

Taglio’s programs are used in the aeronautical, shipbuilding, mechanical and precision mechanics industries; by metallurgical and iron and steel companies; in design, prototyping and production offices; by engineering and service departments; by makers of industrial automation plant and machinery; and in the wood, textiles, leather, rubber, plastics, glass and marble sectors.

The software programs are benchmark products in terms of both quality and performance. Ever since the earliest models of personal computer, which were fitted with floppy disks and had very limited capacities of storage and calculation, the software packages have made full use of all available resources in offering operators all the assistance they need to make their work considerably easier.

Today’s programs are expressly conceived for the various Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP operating environments, and they apply the standards defined by Microsoft® in making them extremely simple to learn and use. All the programs are also available (text and on-line Help) in nine languages: Italian, French, English, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Polish, Romanian and Russian.
